Step by step

Your Bahamas Carnival planning checklist

  1. Step 1

    Confirm the dates

Bahamas Carnival Weekend is currently referenced for June 2–6, 2027 in Nassau. Treat the dates as tentative until officially confirmed.

  2. Step 2

    Choose your events

Pick the fetes, cultural showcases and the Road March you want to attend before booking flights.

  3. Step 3

    Select a Mas band

Compare bands and sections. Registration, pricing and packages are set by each band.

  4. Step 4

    Register for a costume

Costume registration happens directly with the band. Some sections sell out quickly.

  5. Step 5

    Book flights

Fly into Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in Nassau. Prices rise closer to Carnival Weekend.

  6. Step 6

    Choose a hotel

Consider Downtown Nassau, Cable Beach or Paradise Island. Book early — hotels fill quickly around Carnival.

  7. Step 7

    Plan airport transportation

Arrange transfers before you arrive. Hotel shuttles, taxis and licensed drivers are common options.

  8. Step 8

    Prepare for Road March day

Hydrate, apply sun protection, wear comfortable footwear and know your band's meeting point.

  9. Step 9

    Understand Nassau transportation

Jitneys, taxis and rideshare-style options serve New Providence. Some roads close during Carnival events.

  10. Step 10

Pack for heat, sun and rain

June in Nassau is hot and humid. Light clothing, sunscreen, a hat, a light rain layer and a refillable water bottle are all useful.

  11. Step 11

    Follow official updates

Watch this site and each event's official channels for verified announcements.

  12. Step 12

    Save emergency and event contacts

Save your band, hotel and event contacts to your phone before Road March day.
